The Great Himalayas 

The Himalayas is made of the two words 'Him' and 'Alaya' in Sanskrit, which means 'abode of snow.' The Himalayas are a heritage of India. The name of a peak of the Himalayan mountain is 'Bandarpuchha.' peak is located in the Tehri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. Its height is 20,731 feet, and is also called Sumeru. The Himalayas are an entire mountain range, which separates the Indian subcontinent and Tibet. It is the highest mountain in India, which forms the border of about 2500 km of the country in the north and separates the country from North Asia. It stretches from Kashmir to Assam.

Scientists calculate the Himalayan ranges with the world's new mountain beads. It was built five to six crore years before the rise of the ocean floor. It took 60 to 70 lakh years for the Himalayas to reach their full height. It is famous for its high peaks. The highest peak of the world is Mount Everest Himalayas. Many Himalayan peaks are among the 100 highest peaks of the world. It is much newer than other mountains. The first mountain range associated with the Himalayas is the Pir Panjal Range.

 

One part of the Himalayas is named 'Kalind.' The Yamuna originates from here. From this, the name of Yamuna was 'Kalindja,' and ' Kalindi '' is also. Both mean Kalinda's daughter. This place is terrific, but it isn't easy to reach here. For several miles ahead of its origin, its stream Yamunotri mountain rises 20,731 feet in height, flowing uninterruptedly in vast snow-capped and snow-capped tendons and descending very steeply from the mountain slopes. Apart from the Himalayan Range, the Anai peak is the highest peak in India.
