Built by: The temple was constructed by the Pandavas in the Dwapara Yuga during their Agyatvaas. According to local people, the remaining construction work of the temple was completed by two merchants named 'Ahuk' and 'Manuk' in 1204 AD.

History
This Shiva temple was built in the sixteenth century. Baijnath means 'Vaidya + Nath', which means 'Lord of Medicine or Medicines', is also known as 'Vaidya + Nath'.
The temple is located very close to the Pathankot- Mandi National Highway. Its old name was 'Kiragram', but over time it became famous as the name of the temple and the name of the village was 'Baijnath'. At the north-west end of the temple flows the Binwa River, which later joins the Beas River.
