This girl descended into Tretayuga as the daughter of Pandit Ratnakar at Rameshwar, the southern coast of India. Till that time, you go to the range of Trikuta mountain in the Himalayas and meditate and destroy the sufferings and sorrows of the devotees and keep on doing world welfare. When Sri Rama won against Ravana, then Mata decided to celebrate Navratri. Therefore, people in the said context recite the Ramayana during the nine days of Navratri. Sri Rama had promised that the entire world would sing the praise of Goddess Vaishno Devi, Trikuta would be famous as Vaishno Devi and would be immortal forever.

Second story

Banganga

Charan Paduka, Vaishno Devi, Katra

Ardhquari Temple, Vaishno Devi, Katra

Similarly, according to another ancient legend, once the mother of the mountains, pleased with the devotion of her supreme devotee Pandit Sridhar, saved her shame and gave proof of her existence to the whole creation. 2 km from present-day Katra town In the village of Hansali situated at a distance of Sridhar, the supreme devotee of Maa Vaishnavi lived. He used to be sad because he was childless. One day he called the virgins for Navratri worship.

Mother Vaishno sat among them in disguise. After the worship, all the girls left, but Mother Vaishno Devi remained there and said to Shridhar - 'Invite everyone to your house.' Sridhar agreed to that divine girl and sent the message of Bhandare to the surrounding villages. While returning from there, Guru Gorakhnath and his disciple Baba BhairavnathAlong with Ji, he also invited food to his other disciples. All the villagers were surprised to get the invitation to food; which girl is she who wants to get food to so many people?

After this, many villagers came to Sridhar's house and gathered for food. Then mother Vaishno Devi, in the form of a girl, started serving food to everyone with a strange character.

While serving food, the girl went to Bhairavnath. Then he said that I would eat meat and drink instead of kheer-puri. Then the mother, in the form of a girl, explained to him that this is the food of the Brahmin, it does not eat meat. But Bhairavnath deliberately kept his point. When Bhairavnath wanted to catch the girl, the mother knew his treachery. Mother changed into the air and flew towards Trikuta mountain. Bhairavnath also followed him.

Pawanputra is believed to protect the motherHanuman was also there. When Hanuman Ji felt thirsty, at his request, the mother pulled an arrow from the bow with a bow and washed her hair in that water. Today, this holy water stream is known as Banganga, whose drinking or bathing in the holy water removes all the tiredness and suffering of the devotees. During this, Mata entered a cave and meditated for nine months.

Bhairavnath also followed her there. Then a monk said to Bhairavnath that what you consider a girl is Adishakti Jagadamba. So give up the pursuit of that superpower. Bhairavnath did not listen to the monk. Mata then made her way out of the other side of the cave. The cave is still Arddhkumari, or Adikumari or GrbjunIs famous as the stepmother of the first mother of Ardhkumari is also Paduka. This is the place where Mata turned around and saw Bhairavnath. Out of the cave, the girl assumed the form of a goddess. Mata warns Bhairavnath and asks him to return. Still, he did not agree. Mata went inside the cave. Then Hanumanji was outside the cave to protect Mata, and he fought with Bhairavnath. Bhairav still did not give up.

When the heroic langur began to wilt, Mata Vaishnavi took the form of Mahakali and killed Bhairavnath. The head of Bhairavnath was beheaded and fell into the Bhairav valley of Trikuta mountain, 8 km from the building. That place is known as the temple of Bhairon Nath. The place where Mother Vaishno Devi killed the stubborn Bhairavnath, that place is a sacred cave or building famous as At this place, Maa Kali (right), Maa Saraswati (middle), and Maa Lakshmi (left) are entombed in the cave as Pindi. The combined form of these three is called the form of Mother Vaishno Devi.

Along with these three grand pindis are statues and instruments etc. installed by some devout devotees and former kings of Jammu Kashmir. It is said that after his slaughter, Bhairavnath repented of his mistake and begged for forgiveness from his mother. Mata Vaishno Devi knew that Bhairava's main intention behind attacking her was to attain salvation; she not only liberated Bhairava from the cycle of rebirth but gave him a boon saying that my darshan will not be considered complete till then, As long as a devotee, Will not see you after me. According to the same belief, even today, after visiting Goddess Maa Vaishno Devi, devotees go uphill to climb Bhairavnath by climbing 8 kilometers. Meanwhile, Vaishno Devi assumed the shape of a rock with three bodies (head) and meditated forever.

Meanwhile, Pandit Sridhar became impatient. They headed the same way towards Mount Trikuta, which they had seen in their dreams; finally, they reached the cave gate, they made their rituals of worshiping 'bodies' in many ways, the goddess was pleased with their worship, she was in front of them. Appeared and blessed him. Since then, Sridhar and his descendants have been worshiping the goddess Maa Vaishno Devi.
