Why is Akshardham Temple famous?
The famous 'Akshardham Temple' has been included in the 'Guinness Book of World Records' as being the largest Hindu temple complex in the world.
A senior official of the Guinness Book of World Records visited India and presented Swami Maharaj, the head of the Swaminarayan Sansthan, with two world record certificates.
The certificate states, Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj is an internationally renowned spiritual leader and head of the 'BAPS Swaminarayan Sansthan'.
He has created a world record of constructing 713 temples in five continents between April 1971 and November 2007 . It also states that out of these, DelhiThe 'BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple' is amazing and the largest Hindu temple complex in the world.
Michael Witty said that it took us three months to study and compare the comprehensive architectural plan of Akshardham and its comparison with other temple complexes and then we came to the conclusion that the temple was included in the Guinness Book.
