The Brahma Temple is located on the banks of the Pushkar Lake in the famous city of Ajmer in Rajasthan. It is one of the Hindu temples that is dedicated to Lord Bramha.
According to Hindu folklore, Lord Brahma vowed to worship 'Yajnya' ( fire ) in Pushkar. Although his wife Savitri was not present with him to worship Yajnya during this specific time. That is why he had to marry Gayatri, a local Gwalin so that he could sit with her in the worship of Yajna.
This act of Lord Brahma caused his first wife Savitri to be very angry and cursed Brahma that he could no longer be worshipped anywhere other than Pushkar.
This temple of Brahma Ji in Pushkar was originally built in the 14th century. This famous temple has a four-faced statue of Lord Brahma seated on a lotus with a royal image, with his young wife Gayatri on the left and Savitri on the right.
