Hemkund Sahib or Gurdwara Sri Hemkund Sahib is a famous religious site for Sikhs. Hemkund Sahib is located in the state of Uttrakahnd in Chamoli district. Hemkund is an ice lake surrounded by seven huge mountains, also known as Hemkund Mountains. The journey of Hemkund Sahib is also linked to the holy Amarnath Yatra of Hindus.

Construction: Located at an altitude of 4329 meters above sea level, the construction of this gurudwara was completed in the 1970s.

How to Reach Hemkund Sahib
To reach Hemkund Sahib, pilgrims have to travel on the 19 km hill route from Govinddham.
This place is near a pool in seven mountain peaks. Hemkund has Saptarishi peaks, on which the mark of the Khalsa Panth marks the flag hoisting of Sahib.
Hemkund Sahib is opened for devotees only for three months in a year during summers.
