Munsiyari, Uttarakhand

Munsiyari is a beautiful town and a major tourist center in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. Munsiyari was once the main center of trade from Tibet. The area inhabited by tribes that are now on the verge of extinction.

It is also known as Little Kashmir. Here various trek of the Himalayan glaciers like Milam Glacier, Ralam, and Nanda Devi peak starts.


It is 125 km from Pithoragarh and 200 km from Almora. Munsyari is situated at a height of 2298 meters above sea level.

Narayan Ashram

The Narayan Ashram established by Narayana Swamy in 1936 is at a height of 2734 meters which is worth visiting.


Khalia Top

It is a hilltop from where you can beautiful view of Nanda Devi peak and Panchachuli Peaks. You can reach by trekking approx 6 km from Munisyari.
