The Char Dham Yatra is a religious and holy journey to Gangotri, Yamunotri, Badrinath and Kedarnath located in the state of Uttarakhand.
Badrinath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri, and Gangotri have been called the most sacred pilgrimage sites in Hinduism.
It is said that traveling here not only frees sin but takes it beyond the cycle of birth and death.
All these places of pilgrimage are in the lap of the Himalayan mountain range and their importance increases in terms of religious tourism too.
Yamunotri is the first stop for the Char Dham Yatra located in Uttarkashi district in the western direction of the Garhwal Himalayas.
On seeing the Char Dham in a single journey, one goes to Yamunotri then to Gangotri, then to Kedarnath, and finally to Badrinath on religious grounds.
