Sri Krishna Janmashtami and its importance

Krishna Janmashtami is the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna. Yogeshwar has been presenting the sermons of Krishna's Bhagavad Gita to the public since time immemorial.




Janmashtami is celebrated not only in India but also by the Indians settled abroad with full faith and happiness. Sri Krishna took his avatar on the Ashtami of the Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month to destroy Kansa at midnight in Mathura.




Since God himself descended on Earth, so this day is celebrated as Krishna Janmashtami. That is why on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, the city of Mathura gets wet with colors of devotion.

Festival

The celebration of Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated in the whole of Brajmandal, house to house, a temple to temple. Most of the people observe fast and take 'Panchamrit or Falahar' at midnight. Fruits, sweets, clothes, utensils, toys, and rupees are looted. All the devotees are blessed with loot.


The ritual

On the occasion of Janmashtami, the temples are decorated very beautifully, and prayers are offered at midnight. The idol of Shri Krishna is made and placed in a cradle, and it is gently moved. People sing bhajans and perform aarti all night.

The birthday of Lord Krishna is celebrated with a big ceremony. Krishna's native country is full of the crowd of hundreds of thousands of pilgrims from abroad and fasting all day, whether its men, woman, or child.




It continues till midnight, and then they take a blessing by drinking Panchamrita and opens the fast. Apart from Krishna Janmabhoomi, it is a grand event that also happens in Dwarkadhish, Bihariji, and all other temples, which have a huge crowd.

Eighth Avatar of Lord Vishnu

Lord Shri Krishna is considered the eighth Avtar of Vishnu!




Sri Ram took birth as a prince of King Dasharatha, while Shri Krishna was born in the prison of the Kansa. Shri Krishna was born on the midnight of Bhadrapada Krishna Ashtami as the son of Devaki and Sri Vasudeva in the Rohini Nakshatra. Kansa had imprisoned her sister Devaki and Vasudev in jail for fear of her death.


During the birth of Lord Krishna, there was dense darkness all around. As soon as the Shri Krishna took Avtar, the chains of Vasudev-Devaki opened, the prison doors opened themselves, the guards were in a deep sleep. Vasudeva somehow took Shri Krishna across the soaring Yamuna to his friend Nandagop 's house in Gokul. Nanda's wife Yashoda over there.


A girl was also born to him. Vasudev put Sri Krishna to Yashoda and took the girl. Kansa wanted to slap the girl and kill her. But he failed in this task.


In childhood, Shri Krishna killed many demons sent by his maternal uncle and thwarted all his misdeeds. In the end, Shri Krishna killed the Kansa. Janmashtami is the name of the birth anniversary of Shri Krishna. In Gokul, this festival is celebrated under the name of 'Gokulashtami.'

Brajbhoomi Festival is unique and amazing.


Mathura is considered to be the holiest place, and in Mathura, also a beautiful temple that believes that this is the place where Shri Krishna was born.

It is estimated that more than seven lakh people come to this place from Mathura and nearby areas for worship.

The small idol is covered with white cloth and kept in a high place so that all the devotees can see.

Shrimad Bhagavadgita

As the protector of the Pandavas, the generosity of Shri Krishna, the charioteer of Arjuna 's chariot in the Kurukshetra war and his divine message, is eternal and appropriate for all ages. This divine message given by Shri Krishna to the bereaved and troubled Arjuna is written in the Gita.


'Dharmakshetra Kurukshetra Samaveta Yuyotsava': The Bhagavad Gita begins with this verse.

The Gita is the basis of understanding and understanding the psychology of man. Our culture has two poles - one is Sri Ram, and the other pole is Sri Krishna. Rama is exemplary, and Krishna is contemplative.


Indian contemplation says that wherever life on Earth is, it is the Avtar of Vishnu.
