International Literacy Day | 8th September

International Literacy Day is celebrated on September 8 worldwide. Education is very important in the present era. Without education, planning a program is not possible. Education is an essential part of our life.

The government is running various schemes to make everyone literate by running the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. To be educated a person is his own development, while a girl can become educated and decorate the whole house. When every citizen of the country is literate, only then the country can progress.

Meaning

Literacy means not only reading and writing but it is a subject related to respect opportunity and development. In the world, education and knowledge are the necessary medium to lead a better life. Today, illiteracy is a big obstacle in the progress of the country whose curse is becoming poorer and poorer.

The objective of celebrating Literacy Day

The main purpose of Literacy Day is to encourage new literates. International Literacy Day is an important day for us because education is very important in our lives. There is less female literacy in our country than men. We have to take a resolution today that every person should become literate, no one should be illiterate. We have to drive illiteracy from here.
