Hindi day is celebrated every year on ' 14th September ' in India. Hindi is one of the most spoken languages in the world and a capable language in itself. By nature, it is moderately receptive, tolerant and the carrier of India's national consciousness.
On this day, various seminars, conferences, competitions, and other programs are organized in various government, non-government offices, educational institutions, etc. 'Hindi Pakhwada' and 'National Language Week' are also celebrated at some places. Apart from being an ancient, prosperous, and great language of the world, Hindi is also our national language, so such events are natural to express our love and respect towards it, but the matter of sorrow is that over time it, events are only becoming a formality.
History of Hindi Day
After India's independence, on September 14, 1949, the Constituent Assembly decided by one vote that the standing dialect of Hindi would be the official language of India. To propose the importance of this important decision and to spread Hindi in every region, on the request of Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti, Wardha, from 1953 on September 14, India is celebrated as 'Hindi Day' every year.
Statement of Nehru
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, while participating in the debate on 13 September 1949 in the Constituent Assembly, said three major things- No nation can be greater than a foreign language. No foreign language can be the language of common people.
In the interest of India, in the interest of making India a powerful nation, in the interest of creating a nation that recognizes its soul, who is confident, who can cooperate with the world, we should adopt Hindi.
