Other information: Worshiping Lord Ganesha not only leads to the attainment of learning, wisdom and accomplishment, but also the destruction of obstacles.⁣

Why we celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi?



Ganesh Chaturthi is a Hindu festival celebrated on the day of Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturthi. By the way, the Chaturthi of Krishna Paksha of every month, is a special day to worship Ganesha and keep fast on his name. ⁣

Shri Ganesha is a Vighna Vinayaka. These gods hold the paramount position in the society. ⁣

Ganesh ji was born on Bhadrapad Shukla Chaturthi at midday. Lord Ganesha is the god of wisdom. Ganesha's vehicle is a mouse. Riddhi and Siddhi Ganesha have two wives. His most popular indulgence is Laddus. In ancient times, the study of children began from the present day. ⁣

Today, children enjoy by playing small poles or "danda". This is the reason why it is also called Danda Chauth in the local language.⁣

How to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi? ⁣


On this day, Ganesh ji statue is made of gold, copper, clay or cow dung after taking a bath in the morning. ⁣

This idol of Ganesha is filled with water in a blank kalash, a blank cloth is tied over the mouth and is installed on it. Then after offering "sindur" to the idol Ganesh ji must worshiped with Shodashopchar.⁣

There is a rule of offering 21 laddus to Lord Ganesha by offering Dakshina. Of these, 5 laddus should be kept near the idol of Ganesha and distributed among the remaining Brahmins. ⁣


Aarti and worship of Ganesha is done before starting any work and pray that the work is completed smoothly.⁣

Lord Ganesha should be worshiped in the evening. After worshiping the moon, keeping the sight low, offering food to the Brahmins and also giving Dakshina.⁣

In this way, giving arghya to the moon implies that one should not see the moon on this day as far as possible. Because seeing the moon on this day, one has to become a part of the stigma. ⁣

Then the urn covered with cloth, dedication of Dakshina and Ganesha's idol to Acharya is considered to be the best method for immersion of Ganesha.⁣

Worshiping Lord Ganesha not only leads to the attainment of learning, wisdom and accomplishment, but also the complete destruction of obstacles and obstacles.⁣
